Hafannedd is a converted 17th century woollen mill on the banks of the River Clwyd, within easy reach of North Wales' major attractions. It has two letting units - the Mill, within the former mill building, and a separate Cottage in the grounds. VisitWales 4* rated and also VisitWales Walkers and Cyclists Welcome Awards.

Enclosed grounds include a paddock for games, barbecue, seating and ample parking. Laundry and drying room with free wi-fi throughout. All units are centrally heated and have wood-burning stoves. Prices include welcome pack of basic foodstuffs.

Stayed at this cottage for work purposes with two of my staff, the cottage was cosy and warm. The welcome basket laid out was very welcoming, the eggs were free range, homemade bread, butter, orange juice and the owner was on hand to welcome us....More

Fantastic cottage. Wonderful welcome pack of coffee, milk, eggs, logs etc. Beautifully presented. Next to a small river. Everything you could possibly need.

About the neighbourhood
The Vale of Clwyd is one of the most picturesque valleys in Wales. The River Clwyd rises in the Cloceanog Forest, only 3 kms from Hafannedd, and flows northwards to join the Irish Sea near Rhyl. The area is well-known not only for its spectacular scenery and wide variety of wildlife but also its historic connections, particularly with Owain Glyndwr (who burned down most of medieval Ruthin in 1400).

By train - the journey time from London is about 3 hours using Virgin Trains.

By bus - we have our own stop on the 55 bus route between Ruthin and Corwen.
