Sea View

Overview
Condo/Apartment -
5 Bedrooms , 2 Bathrooms , Sleeps 10
Harlech, Snowdonia National Park, North Wales, Wales
You are at the top of the world. No need to climb the steep hill to the shops or deal with the traffic congestion with only two lanes. About the neighbourhood
Harlech Castle is13th century castle built by Edward I of England to control the Welsh that he had just conquered with the death of Llywelyn the Last. This castle was taken by Owain Glyndwr who proclaimed himself Prince of Wales from 1401-1416. It held out for seven years from 1461 during the War of the Roses giving rise to the song 'Men of Harlech' and again it was the last stronghold to fall to Oliver Cromwell in 1647. UNESCO considers Harlech to be one of 'the finest examples of late 13th century and early 14th century military architecture in Europe', and it is classed as a World Heritage site. Before the castle was built it was from this rock that the Mabinogion hero Bran walked across to Ireland.
