Well proportioned house in a very good location for exploring North Wales. The communication with the owner was excellent - kind & accommodating. The house has everything you need & a well loved, family feel. It’s set back off a road, with ample parking which means easy access to beauty spots - but also it’s not a spot in “splendid isolation”. However - this is north wales & traffic is very light!

Been here twice now owner's communicate well before key pickup, lovely cosey home that has everything you need, very private and friendly atmosphere, will try to come every year as its the onky place my whole family will get together in one house, and the lovely cat that greets us every morning at the door loves a cuddles too, would definitely recommend

Excellent cottage, warm, cosy, great TV and Wi-Fi. Lovely pub 10 minutes walk away.
Useful utility room for boots, wet coats and bikes.
No downstairs loo but 3 upstairs!

We had a wonderful few days at Cartref. The house is lovely, warm and welcoming. Well equipped and spacious. The hosts also left some lovely supplies, which was a great touch. We found it an ideal location especially for Zip World and we definitely will be staying there again. Thank you.

Friends weekend away
The house has a lovely homely feel. Unfortunately it wasn’t very clean, needs a good deep clean. Couldn’t use the garden as steps were very slippery due to wet weather but the area out the front of the house was fine to toilet the dogs.
Great location for looking around the area- local pub served good food.

A very enjoyable holiday - the weather was kind to us as we had five out of six dry daytimes. Pretty good for North Wales! This meant that we were away from the property for much of the time and so less dependent on the facilities in Cartref. A comfortable, well equipped house with plenty of character.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cartref- it’s such a beautiful house, very well equipped and comfortable. The house is spacious and big enough for 8 people. Everything was straightforward and easy. Highly recommended. We’ll definitely stay here again.
