Holiday Rental House
Award winning holiday home situated in Scotlands most preserved Historic Village. The Strone is a detached property situated in ample secluded gardens. Guests have exclusive use of the full property during their stay. The location could not be better, smack bang in the middle of Luss Village. Luss is unlike any other Village in the Uk, preserved more or less as it was in the 19th century. Strict planning laws and high property prices have left this tiny Village almost unchanged. The perfect place for anyone visiting to fully relax and to take in the genuine Loch Lomond spirit. We all want our guests to feel the 5 star status we have been awarded. From cleaning, maintenance and customer service we take great pride in providing the best for our guests. About the neighbourhood
Legend has it that the village takes its name from the French heraldic flower, the Fleur de Lys. According to the legend a local girl married a high ranking French officer in the 14th Century. She died in France and her body was returned to be buried by Loch Lomond. The Fleur de Lys strewn on her grave by her husband and are said to have taken root to flourish here ever since. During the Empire years Luss was a popular destination for high society wishing to escape the busy streets of the City. In recent years the village has seen a resurgence in its traditional tourist industry. Not that the Village has changed, it is still the simple crofters village on the banks of Loch Lomond that it always was but then that's what makes it so special for everyone who visits now.
