About the neighbourhood
Loch Lomond is a freshwater Scottish loch which crosses the Highland Boundary Fault. It is the largest inland stretch of water in Great Britain by surface area. The loch contains many islands, including Inchmurrin, the largest fresh-water island in the British Isles. Loch Lomond is a popular leisure destination and is featured in the song 'The Bonnie Banks o' Loch Lomond'. The Loch is now part of the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park which was established in 2002. Loch Lomond is a corruption of the Gaelic Lac Leaman, or 'Lake of the Elms'. Loch Lomond is one of Scotland's premier boating and watersports venues and the scenery draws people from all over Scotland and beyond.

How to get there
Airport: Glasgow: 28.0 km
Railway: Balloch: 4.5 km
We are situated just off of the A82. If coming from the south it is easiest to take the right hand turn signposted for Cameron House then follow the road to the left as it runs alongside Loch Lomond. Just before the road rejoins the main A82, bear right into Lomond Castle Estate. If coming from the north, take the first obvious left hand turn about 1/2 mile after the roundabout at Arden, then turn immediately left into Lomond Castle Estate.
