2 Bedrooms , 1 Bathroom , Sleeps 4
Lochgilphead, Argyll and Bute, Scotland
The Old School House was built in the early 1880s and was the home for the village school teacher. It is set in a elevated position at the edge of the village. We have totally updated this property to create a elegant, cosy house for four guests. Equipped with all you will need!

Downstairs as you enter through the front door on your right you have a large family kitchen with microwave, ceramic hob, fitted oven, dishwasher and equipped with all you will need to prepare meals with ease. Beyond the kitchen is a small utility with a washing machine and sink and access out the back door to a small yard with log shed. About the neighbourhood
There is so much to do in the local area and you will be hard pressed to fit it into one week! On the estate we hire out bikes, kayaks, boats and have excellent fishing for pike and wild brown trout in over 25 lochs. Loads of walks and cycling routes.
There are ferries to the local Islands Gigha, Mull, Jura, Islay, Iona and Lismore from Oban, Kennacraig and Tayinloan. There are also local wildlife boat trips from Ardfern. The area is steeped in history with a local museum with many castles and old settlements to explore in the Kilmartin Glen. Inveraray has the Duke of Argylls Castle which is open to the public and The Old Jail to explore. Local sailing RYA club, kayaking tours, horse riding and guided whiskey trails.

As you can see you can be action packed or just unwind in a stunnin...

How to get there
Airport: Glasgow: 37.0 km
Railway: Oban: 37.0 km
Ferry: Oban: 37.0 km
Keep on coastal road from Glasgow through Inveraray and into Lochgilphead and then onto Kilmartin. After Kilmartin continue 3 miles and then take first right sign posted to Cladich and Ford. Continue for three miles until you get into the village of Ford. Opposite the Old Ford Hotel follow the road round to the right and over the bridge and up the hill and the School House is the last house on the left as you go out of the village. The entrance is just before the School House on the left up a steep drive, you then turn right into the a yard with green gates. If you park your car there and then go through the little gate into the garden and round to the front of the property.
