Holiday Rental House -
2 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom , Sleeps 3
Craignure, Isle of Mull, The Hebrides, Scotland
Bayview is a 2 bedroom terraced house overlooking Craignure Bay on the Island of Mull. The house looks out to sea, from the back of the property, from a private garden. Mull has a great variety of wildlife - white tail sea eagles, otters, deer, etc. The house is within walking distance of the ferry terminal (for the Oban ferry).
There is no internet in the house.

February 2017 - watched two white tailed sea eagles building their nest beside the road to Duart Castle.

Comments from the visitor's book :-
'Very comfortable stay, spotlessly clean and very well equipped accommodation. Good location, really enjoyed our visit to this beautiful island, we saw a sea eagle fishing at Loch Buie,' - June 2016

'This is our second holiday staying in this very comfortable house, clean and tidy with great views from back of the house.&...

Interaction with guests
We usually meet new travellers to Bayview but on occasions this is not possible, there is a coded key box for these times. No trip to Mull would be complete without a trip to Iona or a visit to the nest sites (2 - one in the North and one in the South) of the white tailed sea eagle. Visits to the hides are booked via the tourist information office which is situated beside the ferry terminal at Craignure. Another highlight is a boat trip to the Treshnish Islands to see the nesting puffins in spring and early summer, check with the boat operator, Turus Mara, that the birds are still nesting before booking.

How to get there
Airport: Glasgow: 150.0 km
Railway: Oban : 15.0 km
Ferry: Oban - Craignure: 1.0 km
There are 3 ferry routes to Mull:- Oban - Craignure, Lochaline - Fishnish and Kilchoan - Tobermory. The ferry to Iona leaves from Fionnphort at the south of Mull. In the summer the Oban ferry must be booked, if coming by car, as a lot of sailings are full - especially weekend days (holiday let changeover days) - and you must report to the ferry terminal at LEAST 30 minutes before your departure time or you risk being left behind.
