The property is found on the outskirts of Stornoway, just 2 miles from the town centre, only a few steps from the beautiful Castle Grounds and golf course. Its central location offers an excellent base from which to explore the island's many attractions, from the beautiful beaches to the unique wildlife, and for the adventurous traveller, a range of activities, such as mountain-biking, surfing, and hiking.
The house has a fully fitted modern kitchen complete with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, hob and oven, and breakfast bar. About the neighbourhood
The house is ideally situated for exploring the town of Stornoway, and the islands of Lewis and Harris. Wwithin walking distance, the Castle Grounds offers beautiful forest walks, golf course, mountain biking routes and new Cycle Hub, the newly regenerated Lews Castle with cafe facilities, also encompassing the new Museum nan Eilean, and the Woodlands Cafe. This is also the location for the world famous Hebridean Celtic Festival, held every year in July, overlooking Stornoway Harbour.
Stornoway has much to offer in the way of restaurants, pubs and cafes, sports and leisure facilities, arts centre with cinema, shops and family attractions. Going further afield, there is so much to explore, and something for every kind of traveller.

The house is situated just outside Stornoway on the main road south towards Tarbert, Harris.
There are a number of ways you can travel to Stornoway:
by air, daily FlyBe flights from Inverness, Edinburgh and Glasgow to Stornoway.
by sea, daily Caledonian Macbraynes ferries from Ullapool to Stornoway, from Uig, Skye to Tarbert, Harris (40 mins drive).
It is advisable to book your vehicle for your ferry journey as early as possible due to high demand particularly during the summer months.
