Garrique Cottage offers spacious well equipped accommodation, all on one level, within easy reach of many of Scotland's most historic and scenic attractions. Tucked away in the hills, it is quiet and peaceful, with fantastic views, but within four miles drive of good local pubs/restaurants, several cafe/farm shops, and two village shops.
It has its own hard tennis court and there are six reasonably priced golf courses within half an hours drive.

The 33 foot by 11 foot kitchen/ dining/living room with its beamed ceiling provides an ideal space for family activities, with doors out to a decking area with picnic table. Steps from the decking area lead down to a private garden where children can play safely. About the neighbourhood
Garrique Cottage is less than 20 minutes drive from Stirling, and under an hour by car from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Perth, with their many attractions. Blair Drummond Safari and Adventure Park offers a great day out for the family, and is less than five miles away. So too are The Inn at Kippen, The Cross Keys In Kippen, and the Gargunnock Inn, all offering good food and drinks. For lunches and late breakfasts plus good butcheries, delicatessens, and gift shopping try The Woodhouse on the A811 below Kippen or The Smiddy at Blair Drummond. Gleneagles Hotel, with its spa and famous golf courses, and tennis star Andy Murray's Cromlix Hotel , with its popular teas and Albert Roux restaurant are both about forty minutes away.
Getting around
There are regular trains from Stirling Station to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth, and a wide variety of stops on the way to London or Inverness. Buses run from Kippen to Stirling every hour, and there are coach services out of Stirling. However visitors to Garrique Cottage need a car in order to reach the station or bus stop, as well as to do their shopping at the wide variety of supermarkets and other shops in Stirling.

Fly to Edinburgh, Glasgow or Prestwick and take the motorway to Stirling, or Stirling can be reached by car or train. Cars can be hired at all the airports and in Stirling. Garrique Cottage is about 9 miles west of Junction 10 on the M9, as it passes below Stirling Castle. A car is essential for those staying at Garrique Cottage.
