Holiday Rental House
Beautiful new terraced house, built within an Old Victorian School (1896). Interior is spacious with high ceilings, large windows and white walls. There is a sea theme to the house and you can look out across the roof tops to the sea from both larger bedrooms. The location is superb, 2 minutes away from the Fife Coastal Path. And five minutes away from the best fish & chips on the planet! Anstruther itself is a lovely village with a small marina, shops and cafes. St Andrews- home of golf - is a fifteen minute drive. And Elie with its wonderful beaches and the Chain Walk is ten minutes in the other direction. Downstairs there is a porch for coats, shoes, buckets and spades which leads into a dining kitchen. And Elie with its wonderful beaches and the Chain Walk is ten minutes in the other direction. Downstairs there is a porch for coats, shoes, buckets and spades which leads into a dining kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped with oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave and a small room off with washing machine, tumble dryer and pulley. Moving from the kitchen into the living area there is a downstairs toilet. The living area is bright and airy with comfortable seating for eight and a large dining table that seats eight plus. The book case has books for a variety of tastes, a selection of DVDs and some family games. Stair gates, travel cot and a high chair are easily available on request. Above the living room is a mezzanine with more sofas for a quieter chill out. Further up are the four bedrooms. The master bedroom is en suite with a four poster overlooking the sea. The other bedroom at the front is very large and the beds can either be 3' singles or zipped together into a super-king. At the back one bedroom is single with a pull out if required and the other has two singles which can be zipped together into a double. On this floor there is also the family bathroom with toilet, shower and alcove bath. One floor up is the roof space with an old TV which can be linked up to your own xBox if that's your thing! There are two sofas in this area. There is a small front garden with bench to catch the morning sun and decking at the rear with garden furniture for your al fresco fish and chips. There are also 2 spaces for cars at the rear. There is a small corner shop and bakers nearby, a good sized Co-op supermarket in Anstruther and both ASDA and TESCO will deliver groceries to the house. We have a no pets policy, although Guide Dogs and other support dogs are welcome. More

About the neighbourhood
The East Neuk itself has several historic fishing villages, each quaint and unique in their own way. Anstruther is home to the Fisheries Museum, award winning fish and chips and a marina. Pittenweem has a working harbour, a great sweet shop and The Cocoa Tree for all chocolate lovers. Crail also has a harbour, bookshops, and cafes. Elie is famous for its beaches - all beautiful and sandy. The Ship Inn has a lovely outdoor seating area where you can sit with a cold drink and soak up the atmosphere. And then there is Cellardyke with its own unique harbour. Right on the coastal path it is a historic area with quaint fisherman's houses along the coast. Many artists stay here due to the light and inspiration. There are many golf courses including Kingsbarns and St Andrews.
Getting around
Most guests arrive at Kerith by car and will use the car to get around and about in the local area. For those who want to enjoy the coastal path, it is worth knowing about the number 95 bus which runs along the East Neuk villages to St Andrews - this regular service stops very near to the house - and knowing about it might help you plan a day out without using the car. If any guests happen to be arriving or leaving by public transport, then the nearest railway station is Leuchars (about 25 minutes drive via St Andrews).
