There are lovely coastal walks along the cliff to Portland Bill Lighthouse and Chisel Beach; then there is Portland Castle, Church Ope Cove a secluded beach, Portland Museum and much much more.

All was as we expected from the reviews. It is a building site but once inside it is very pleasant and has all we needed for our stay.
Week end was lovely and quiet but mid week still rather noisy!

Getting around
If you do not have a car you can get around easily with the No1 bus which runs every 7 minutes and is just half a mile from the apartment.

There is also Weymouth Train Station which is 7 miles and there are also taxis around to take you back and forth from the beautiful Isle of Portland should you wish to leave your car behind and allow someone else to drive you around.

If arriving by Train - you can catch bus No. 1 from the Kings Statue to Southwell

There are regular buses from Southwell to the Kings Statue Weymouth every 7mins should you decide to take a break from driving to enjoy your surroundings.

On arrival to Portland after passing the causeway, if you are using your Sat-Nav it will not take you direct to the address. Please ignore command to Reap Lane continue onto Avalanche Road and follow the directions to Southwell Business Park. On entering the park take the second turning on the left to Maritime House.
