Located down a quiet, single track, cul-de-sac lane, in a tranquil country setting with no through traffic, the Music Room provides an excellent gateway to discover the many delights and sites of Dorset. The South West Coastal Path is a short distance away for excellent walking and spectacular views of the Jurassic coastline, including the recently renovated Durlston Country Park near Swanage. For children there are many local attractions including the Purbeck Steam Railway to Swanage; Putlake Adventure Farm; model villages at Corfe/Wimborne; the Bovington Tank Museum; Monkey World; Splash Down/Bowling at Tower Park; the unique Rex Cinema at Wareham; and fossil hunting on the seashore. The two bedroomed, thatched cottage was used by its famous operatic owners in the 1920s as a retreat from London for artists, musicians and dancers. The property has a number of Public Footpaths and Bridleways very close by. Walk over the fields to Corfe Castle village, or over the hill to the beaches of Studland Bay and Swanage, or up on to the Jurassic coastal path. The cottage has the benefit of a wood burning stove, inset in a local stone inglenook, within a double height, vaulted sitting room. (A starter basket of logs can be ordered in advance £29, including cleaning after) It enjoys the modern comforts of Sky+HD, DVD and Broadband WiFi. The Music Room Cottage provides a quiet, rural location, close to the sea and beaches. Gorgeous cottage set in beautiful countryside. Well equipped, comfortable cottage with everything you need for a family stay. Lovely touch of tea, coffee and biscuits on arrival. Short drive from corfe and lots to do in local area. Will return!

The area around Corfe Castle and the surrounding Isle of Purbeck is beautiful and unspoilt, with many historic villages, sites and local attractions.
Getting around
There are many Public Footpaths and Bridleways, on the cottage's doorstep, you can take over the hill to Studland Bay beach and onto the wider Jurassic Coastline. Corfe Castle and the Village are one and a half miles away, where there are a number of excellent pubs and tea houses, as well as the Purbeck Steam Railway for train rides from Corfe to the seaside town and beach at Swanage.
