Holiday Rental House
Wears Farm holiday cottages (The Stables, The Grain Store & The Cow Byre) sit in the hills above the beautiful village of Abbotsbury; comprising three individual holiday homes with spectacular views across the Dorset countryside. Take a short walk from the cottages up onto the South Dorset Ridgeway to enjoy breathtaking views across Lyme Bay to Chesil Beach and Portland in the east and Lyme Regis and Start Point in the west. These luxurious, comfortable cottages were converted from traditional farm buildings in 2009. All have received a five star gold rating from Visit England. The Grain Store has a spacious and airy, yet cosy feel with its open plan layout, wooden floors downstairs and feature windows. About the neighbourhood
Abbotsbury is a popular, pretty village steeped in history and surrounded by spectacular scenery. The village has much to offer a visitor of any age as it includes the famous 14th century St Catherine's Chapel (a local landmark often captured on photos of Chesil Beach), old Abbey ruins, delightful cottage architecture, traditional country tea rooms and pubs and arguably three of Dorset's most popular visitor attractions (The Swannery, Sub-tropical Gardens and the Children's Farm). If you still have energy to burn then a climb to the summit of Abbotsbury Hill will reward you with one of the most awe-inspiring views in the whole of Dorset with panoramas over Chesil Beach, Portland, Lyme Bay and the East Devon coastline.
