Just left Villa Sogno. Wonderful setting in a thousand year old hilltop village. We stayed four days after a Rome stopover. Relaxing—lots to do in the area. When we left we felt we’d known Brian and Rosemary for a lifetime!
Villa Sogna was a fortuatous find after searching 'apartments in Umbria' for way too long! This is Brian & Rosemary's home, and they treat you as their "friends here for a visit". They were so helpful suggesting places to visit and eat. We had a...More

Thank you Barbara for your review, it was a pleasure to meet you both and we are so glad you enjoyed this beautiful part of the world and your stay here.
We personally couldn't recommend the experience more highly. Comfortable, spacious apartment, sensational views and above all two very kind and generous hosts in Brian and Rosemary. Very much looking forward to seeing both them and Acqualoreto again. Fabulous.

Acqualoreto has a bar and a small restaurant “La Cruccola” in the piazza. There is an excellent local pizzeria / restaurant (Rosa dei Venti) serving typical Umbrian dishes only 10 mins. drive away. There are no shops in the village but there is a small store in Morre (5 mins. drive) and a larger supermarket in Collelungo (7 mins. drive). A full array of stores and services are available in Todi and Orvieto.
Having a car is essential to enable you to explore this enchanting part of Italy.
Cultural - There are many beautiful medieval cities and towns to visit in the area, many of them walled and positioned on hilltops. They all boast wonderful medieval architecture and some of the churches, for example, the cathedrals in Orvieto and Assisi are World Heritage Sites. Most cities have ...
