Just left Villa Sogno. Wonderful setting in a thousand year old hilltop village. We stayed four days after a Rome stopover. Relaxing—lots to do in the area. When we left we felt we’d known Brian and Rosemary for a lifetime!

About the neighbourhood
Acqualoreto has a bar and a small restaurant “La Cruccola” in the piazza. There is an excellent local pizzeria / restaurant (Rosa dei Venti) serving typical Umbrian dishes only 10 mins. drive away. There are no shops in the village but there is a small store in Morre (5 mins. drive) and a larger supermarket in Collelungo (7 mins. drive). A full array of stores and services are available in Todi and Orvieto.

Having a car is essential to enable you to explore this enchanting part of Italy.

Cultural - There are many beautiful medieval cities and towns to visit in the area, many of them walled and positioned on hilltops. They all boast wonderful medieval architecture and some of the churches, for example, the cathedrals in Orvieto and Assisi are World Heritage Sites. Most cities have...
