    Sorry but we cannot accommodate children under the age of 6. The house is just not set up for toddlers and very small people - we have staircases and cactuses on floor level - not ideal for inquisitive little minds! As we live in a nature reserve, loud noise is discouraged.

    Little haven in the forrest

    Perfect way to escape the December madness. Knysna Loeries and a large tortoise have been entertaining us. Wilderness and George close enough for eating and shopping but far enough to not be a distraction.

    Heaven on earth...

    We loved the whole experience and will recommend to all our friends and family.

    We enjoyed the fact we had the little bay all to ourselves ,which was ideal with a built in bbq area and most important a toilet!! Great experience,thanks again to Jane,sister Sally and Eric for good inside info about the area.

    Ballots Bay is set 20 minutes from George Airport and 12 minutes from Wilderness beach at the gateway to the entire Garden Route including Sedgefield (home of Wild Oats - one of the top 10 organic food markets in the world, an extraordinary vintage motor car dealership, and gorgeous natural features), Knysna (too many charms to list), Plettenburg Bay, Natures Valley etc etc etc. A dream holiday destination. There are over 13 internationally acclaimed golf courses in the area. Water skiing, sailing, hiking, canoeing, surfing, swimming, walking, paragliding, birding, foraging....resting and recharging are our other specialities!
    How to get there
    The road into the reserve is a great adventure and a magical right of passage down into the valley, over a beautiful suspension bridge and then up, up again through the fynbos to the cliffs with the views. Leave the madness behind and enter glorious paradise...
