Holiday Rental House -
1 Bedroom , 1 Bathroom , Sleeps 4
Worfield, Bridgnorth, Shropshire, England
This is a new conversion of the c 1850 barn attached to our house. It has beams and real character with laminated or tiled floors throughout. From the sitting room window on the second floor there are French windows and a balcony giving you access to some fabulous panoramic views of the Shropshire countryside.

Guests have access to a private terrace right next to the Little Barn to sit on warm days and nights and parking is right next to the main entrance. As the Little Barn is situated is at the rear of our property it is extremely private and guests comment on the peaceful location.

Entering the building by the French windows downstairs you walk into the dining area with seating for 4 , there is wall mounted TV for catching up on breakfast news opposite a comfortable leather reclining sofa for relaxing. You then step into a large...

Comfortable well-equipped property. Nice and warm when the weather had turned a bit colder. Lovely views. Well placed for touring local places of interest. The pub - a few minutes walk away, serves great food. Had a great time there.

Management response:

Thank you Frances. Glad you enjoyed your stay.

We found Little Barn to be a lovely place to stay with beautiful views over farmland. It was clean & well equipped with everything necessary for a very comfortable stay. The Red Cow, the local pub has good food at a reasonable price & is within walking distance. The location is convenient to many local attractions & shops. We definitely...

About the neighbourhood
We are based some seven miles (11 kilometers) from the picturesque market town of Bridgnorth, the village is the home of the pub restaurant The Red Cow. Convenient for both Wolverhampton and Telford, this rural retreat is surrounded by open fields and views. It also shares its territory with Badger Dingle, which is a wooded area with a lake often visited by walkers and hikers. Ackleton has some modern houses mixed with small quaint cottages and three large properties Ackleton House, Ackleton Hall and Ackleton Manor. There are a network of footpaths very close to the Little Barn which are great for walking or hiking.
At the back of the property is a 6 acre field which are welcome to stroll around.
Getting around
You will need your own transport to get to us. The nearest town Bridgnorth, is in reality, two towns: the High Town (good views down) and the Low Town (good views up). Now connected by the steepest inland funicular railway in Britain the Low Town was once a thriving port along the banks of the River Severn, while the High Town held the castle, the churches, and many fine 16th and 17th century mansions. Charles I, lost his head here completely, declaring the view to be - 'the finest in all my kingdom.' For more energetic visitors you can amble up one of the seven sets of steps, or the steep old Cartway, where goods were once hauled to the market above. The carts are gone, but the markets remain. Antiques and local produce are particular spec
