This beautifully renovated barn is situated in a delightful rural position with views uphill to the pretty English village of Brill with its historic windmill. The barn comfortably accommodates 4 people with room for a fifth if necessary on a futon (under 12 years only). Set in 10 acres, there is plenty of room to stretch your legs and to park vehicles. Ox House is ideally situated for easy access to London, Oxford, the Cotswolds, Bicester Village shopping and the many activities that are available in the area for adults, teenagers and children.
Please be aware that in this rural location there are livestock nearby which need feeding - therefore the farmer may be visible occassionally in the vicinity....This beautifully renovated barn is situated in a delightful rural position with views uphill to the pretty English village of Brill with its historic windmill. We booked this cottage to be close to a family event. The furnishings were very high spec, with lovely comfy sofas and good beds. We got a train to Bicester village, got picked up by our friend and taken to the cottage. The first night,...More

That's so kind! Thank you for a lovely review. The weather was a real shame but we hope to see you again when the sun is shining!
I visited the Ox House with my family for three days and we had a wonderful time. The barn is luxuriously furnished with high tech equipment though out. We felt very warmly welcomed with a basket of goodies, bottle of Prosecco and fresh bunch of...More

Set in the heart of England, Ox House is idyllically and ideally located on the Buckinghamshire/Oxfordshire border. Six miles away is the pretty Market Town of Thame with a host of independent retailers, a lively and colourful market on Tuesdays and a choice of 3 supermarkets. Bicester, a market town also, is now better known for its Designer Outlet Shopping Centre open 7 days a week. For a more cultural experience the National Trust Properties Waddesdon Manor, Claydon House, Stowe and Boarstall Duck Decoy are nearby and the historic and fascinating City of Oxford is only 12 miles away. Also on our doorstep is The Buckinghamshire Railway Centre, frequently visited by Thomas the Tank Engine and Waterperry House and Gardens which is host to the hugely popular Art in Action event in July.
Getting around
A car is a necessity although the village is within walking distance.
