Everything you could want in a very well kept and maintained property. A bottle of wine and basics were left for us. I would say that you would probably need a car or transport for your stay, as I did not see many buses,

About the neighbourhood
Milfield is a perfect and central spot to see and visit North Northumberland - especially if you prefer a quieter location away from the busier towns and coastal area.

The National Park is a few miles away - and travel to the coast is a 20min car journey. Also, from here a visit to Rothbury or the Scottish Border town of Kelso is an easy drive on quiet roads. There are some fine stately homes in the Borders that are open to the public. A day trip to Edinburgh is also a favourite for guests.

The village has a lively cafe, pub and small shop and walks are available from the front door.
