The Guardian 50 Best Cottages: '1 - 2 The Haven has curves in all the right places . . . .there's oodles of space . . . perfect for large groups and families'
This art deco house has been extensively renovated and its original art deco features enhanced. Panoramic sea views can be enjoyed from a balcony and also a terrace at first floor level and a large sun deck at second floor level. In addition there is a small, fully-enclosed and private paved garden which is ideal for barbecues and for children to play. All the bedrooms are on the ground floor so that full advantage can be taken of the beautiful views from the upstairs lounges.

The Haven beach is just yards away, directly across the green in front of the house, and is a delightful sandy beach - ideal for buckets and spades and rock-pooling!

The first floor lounge has...

About the neighbourhood
Beadnell Harbour is an historic and beautiful west-facing harbour (the only one on the North East coast!) and has the National Trust-owned Beadnell Limekilns as a backdrop.

Beadnell has a good pub with excellent food, a bistro, a small shop and coffee shop, a church and a well-equipped children's playground.

South of Beadnell is the huge sweep of Beadnell Bay with its golden sands stretching for over 2 miles. Wonderful for children and the young-at-heart. Part-way round the bay is the Long Nanny bird reserve with a large colony of nesting terns and plovers.
Getting around
There is a local bus stop just outside the door for popping along to Bamburgh, Seahouses or Alnwick. The nearest train station is Alnmouth, which is 30 Km away, with trains running up into Scotland and down the East Coast to the South.
