Woodlands Cottage is a stunning four bedroom property overlooking the sea and set in well over an acre of it's own private woodland on the west coast of the Isle of Wight. The property is incredibly tranquil and secluded. The master bedroom has a very spacious wooden decked balcony with fabulous sea views over the Solent, as well as it's own en-suite bathroom. The second double room also has sea views, and the twin room, and the single/twin room downstairs overlook the woodlands to the rear. The double beds are king size, all the beds have high quality 'pocket sprung' mattresses. Like everything else in the cottage, the kitchen is brand new for 2016. It features an American style fridge-freezer with chilled water and ice dispenser, as well as a dishwasher, microwave oven, washing machine...Woodlands Cottage is a stunning four bedroom property overlooking the sea and set in well over an acre of it's own private woodland on the west coast of the Isle of Wight. It features an American style fridge-freezer with chilled water and ice dispenser, as well as a dishwasher, microwave oven, washing machine, etc. The spacious kitchen opens out to the dining room which has sliding doors to the garden and the woodlands. The living room has a modern wood burning stove, a smart TV/DVD player with Freeview/iPlayer etc, and a music system with wireless streaming (Airplay) and an iPod dock. There is high speed broadband and wifi in the cottage, and an iMac is available for guests. There are three bathrooms/shower rooms in the property - one downstairs, one family bathroom with shower/bath combo, and one ensuite with walk in shower. All three have mirrors with integrated lighting. There is a large garden at the front of the cottage, which leads on to a larger communal green/playing area, and also to the private (fully enclosed) woodland. There is a slide and a trampoline (with side netting) in the woods. Woodland Cottage has a dedicated parking spot, and additional free parking is available at the nearby fort about 100 meters away.More

About the neighbourhood
The immediate surrounds of the cottage are very peaceful, and yet full of adventure and wonder. There are beaches, walks, woodlands, cycle routes, nature, kids attractions, and beach-fronted cafe bars, right on the doorstep. Exit the back of the cottages and you walk straight onto the Isle of Wight coastal path, through a woodland conservation area, some stunning views of the Solent, long sandy beaches, coastal fortresses, and dramatic chalk cliffs - all part of the famous Heritage Coast here. The wildlife in the woods is rich and diverse. There are foxes, badgers, plenty of rabbits and red squirrels in the woodlands (the Isle of Wight is famously a red squirrel sanctuary in England - one of the few places they haven’t been wiped out by the American grey). At the other side of the co...
Getting around
The cottage is a 3-4 minute drive (or 15 minute walk) along the coast from the historical harbour town of Yarmouth, the arrival point for the car ferry from Lymington in the New Forest. If you don't want to bring a car, there is a very good bus network all over the island, a regular bus stop at the end of the road, and a request stop at the fort. You can also rent bikes at the old train station next to the river in Yarmouth. If you like walking the whole area is a paradise. The 15 minute walk to Yarmouth runs along the beach and coastal pathway to the edge of the harbour (Sandhart Beach), which you can either walk around, or take the £1.50 harbour water taxi straight into town.
