The Barn at Titley is a stunning modern barn conversion with boutique hotel style décor. Graded 5 star according to Visit England standards, it is situated overlooking hills, fields and farmland. It provides a peaceful location for those seeking a tranquil, rural base for their holiday, which is not isolated. With the adjacent nature reserve and lake, the area is rich is wild-life and you can sit watching the many house martins flit about the barns and lie in bed hear the owls hooting at night . With the adjacent nature reserve and lake, the area is rich is wild-life and you can sit watching the many house martins flit about the barns and lie in bed hear the owls hooting at night . The living space is on the first floor to take advantage of the wonderful cruck beams and vaulted ceiling into the roof of the barn. There is a modern, well-equipped kitchen in sycamore overlooking the peaceful, communal courtyard and other barns which form part of the small estate. The kitchen is equipped with professional pans and Sophie Conran china. Tucked away under the eaves overlooking the living area is a stunning long gallery. This has a single bed (suitable for children over 10 and adults only) which provides some flexibility with sleeping arrangements. With a sofa and a desk this is a great space for teenagers to 'chill-out' and for those wanting a quiet read. The ground floor has two beautiful four-poster bedrooms, a king-size with a bespoke four-poster bed and en- suite bathroom (bath with shower over), the double with a contemporary four-poster bed with a wet room with shower and sink. This bedroom has space for a travel cot and opens out onto the courtyard so you can easily pop out for your morning coffee. (Please note the space around part of the beds is a little tight and may not suit those with mobility issues). There is also a separate cloakroom. Outside, the rear courtyard is a suntrap and perfect for breakfast. On a warm day you can listen to the gentle creaking of the barns. At the front of the house, the garden catches the sun in the afternoon and evening and you can sit out with a relaxing glass of wine after a hard day walking or sightseeing looking out onto open fields, hills and forests. BBQ provided. There is parking for one car immediately in front of the property and additional parking available in the visitors' car park. For our little guests, we provide a travel cot (guests to bring cot linen),highchair, socket covers and a travel safety gate. Covid-19 We have Visit Britain's certificate 'Good to Go' for fully implementing Government regulations during the pandemic. The safety and welfare of our guests and staff is our highest priority. Our housekeeper has been instructed to adopt additional precautions with disinfection of frequently touched surfaces on each clean. Anti-bacterial products are available for guests' use. No contact arrival via key safe. Herefordshire has the lowest population in England. Given the rural location and the layout of the estate, it is easy to practice social distancing whilst enjoying the beautiful views and all that this lovely area has to offer. More

Lovely location. Great place to chill out. Well fitted kitchen, but only a few minutes walk to an excellent pub/restaurant. I would recommend it to anyone for short or long stays. Great location to explore the local area including Wales. Plenty to see and visit.

About the neighbourhood
Titley is in a little gem of an area with beautiful scenery and truly unspoilt countryside. It is situated in fantastic walking country, close to Offa's Dyke and is on the Mortimer Trail. Rural and peaceful but not isolated it is only 3 miles from the characterful market towns of Presteigne and Kington. Titley Pool Nature Reserve is tucked away just behind the barn which looks out up to the hills of Radnor Forest. The glacial lake is home to swans and numerous bird species including great crested grebe and pied flycatcher that can be viewed from a secluded bird hide. This is really getting close to nature and you can while away many an hour virtually undisturbed overlooking the lake and strolling through the reserve. The adjacent meadows have been unploughed for centuries and are r...
