Feel the barn could do with some maintenance. Blind not on pulley, window that was impossible to open and close. Beautiful place but looks tired. The main thing that would stop us going back is the very uncomfortable beds. It was like lying on the...More

About the neighbourhood
Andover is approximately 13 miles North-West of Winchester. The town has been in continuous habitation since Saxon times and was granted its first charter in 1175 by King Henry II. Throughout its history it has been on major routes; the ancient Harrow Way passed just north of the town, and the Winchester to Cirencester Roman Road passes through the town (and almost beside our cottage).
