The 3 seperate guest bedrooms - 1 with double and 2 with small double and single beds are well presented with period solid wooden furniture and iron bedsteads equipped with modern mattresses. Downstairs a roll-top bath fitted bathroom and WC are complemented by a 1st floor power shower room & WC . Externally 2 off road parking spaces with security lighting a small gated patio/garden area set separately to the rear of the property and we welcome up to 2 well behaved dogs ( conditions apply*)The village of Wrentham offers a village shop open 6 days per week , an excellent chinese take-away , rural cafe , 2 excellent Adnams Public houses and a small Fish and Chip ship all within walking distance of the ORR as well as other local shops and businesses. Nearby are the Minsmere Nature reserve , Africa Alive Wildlife Park , The Norfolk Broads , The market towns of Southwold ( 3 miles) , Beccles ( 5 miles) and Halesworth as well as the larger port of Lowestoft ( 6 miles). The area is extremely popular with families , dog walkers , twitchers and lovers of the English countryside.Wifi is provided by a dedicated access hub and is free at point of use after a very simple log-in process that is clearly shown at the ORR.The Old Reading Rooms is VERY close to Wood Farm Barns on Benacre Estate, a popular Wedding venue, and we have had many Bridal parties and or guests choosing to stay with us for their Weddings. There are some good photo opportunities to be had at the ORR while you are getting ready. Please note we list as accepting up to 8 adults , if you have toddlers/travel cots these can be in addition to the 8 guests stated, so please officially book the 8 adults and advise of the additional toddlers/babies when booking.If you wish to leave the ORR without cleaning the property we can accommodate this with an additional serviced cleaning charge of £40 for a short break or £50 for a week long stay - please advise us if you require this service in advance of your arrival.*We accept pets , mainly dogs at £20 each per stay , these need to be kept securely , are not allowed upstairs in the property or on the furniture and must have up to date flea control please.We understandably require credit cards details as security deposit for your stay at the ORR with the simple requirement of 'Leave as you find' - providing of course there is no damage etc then this is not used .We are usually very flexible with our changeover times when we have the time to be , BUT, when we are busy i.e parties arriving immediately before or after we will need you to arrive around 3pm and depart by 10am. We personally call all our guests before you are due to arrive and can confirm all of these details with you then and note any other details and requirements you might have and offer any further assistance or advice you might need.More

Our family of six stayed here for two nights at the beginning of November. The accommodation was very clean and well laid out. Hayley, the owner, was vet friendly and helpful - the whole stay was perfect. I would come back without hesitation.

Great place to explore the Suffolk coast! Hayley was so helpful and welcoming both before and during our stay. She gave us great advice really beached and places to visit. Our dog was made very welcome as well.

Interaction with guests
We always contact our guests before their scheduled arrival day to confirm their estimated time of arrival and any needs they might have or questions they might ask. We personally welcome our guest to the ORR and show them the amenities and again answer any questions they might have. We are available by text or call for any emergencies or even simple recommendations to local amenities, restaurants, walks etc so do not hesitate to ask anything. When your stay is over we will return to collect the keys and say goodbye.

About the neighbourhood
A medium sized village with plenty of local amenity including 2 Adnams pubs , Chinese take-away , Fish and Chip shop, local Cafe and Village store. A factory outlet store with designer bargains is a regular attraction and can be used to purchase any essential items you have forgotten to pack. Both pubs have garden areas and offer decent food as well as the local brew. When in the Village you are never more than a street away from open countryside , Wrentham offers a local tennis and lawn bowls club as well as day ticket fishing with ponds to suit all levels of expertise and concentration including a great pond where even novice youngsters are guaranteed to catch a fish , great for Dads and kids to spend a little time. Getting around
Wrentham has a number of Bus routes connecting to nearby Lowestoft, Beccles and Southwold, the Bus stop is 70M north on the road through the village. Taxis are available both locally and from Lowestoft and Beccles.
