Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

A nice cottage but...
We needed a relaxing break and this very nice looking property seemed ideal. It is very well decorated, well equipped, roomy and has a nice atmosphere. The bed is very comfortable. There is a pleasant seating area at the rear of the property and off road parking. The stairs to the bedroom may be difficult for anyone physically immobile but no problem to us despite us being in our seventies.
It is situated on the road through Snape, which was a little busier than we expected. This would not have been a problem had it not also been a tractor 'rat run'. They started running through around 5.30am and there were surprisingly large numbers during the day. This would be acceptable and understandable if it were just local farmers but clearly this must have been some other commercial enterprise, perhaps a tractor hire business. The property is fitted with double glazing but we like our windows open in summer.
We were also very unhappy with the agents. There should have been free WiFi available but on entering the password given it showed up as 'password incorrect'. We tried to ring the agents a few times but they do not answer their phone. We waited nearly ten minutes on the phone on one occasion whilst we were told we were number 'seven' in the queue until we were number 'nil' in the queue twice before giving up. They have a 'chat line' but IF the WiFi password does not work!! We had to pay BT for access to the internet during our stay. A 'chat line' call to the agents on the Tuesday said they would contact the owner about the password problem but we heard nothing further and it was still not working when we left on the Saturday.
