Anchor Barn is located in the beautiful North Norfolk village of Morston - a few quiet lanes, a cluster of flint cottages and a 12th century church. The world famous beaches of Wells and Holkham, seen in Shakespeare in Love are just 15 mins west, while the stunning reed marshes and beaches of Cley and Salthouse, home to a great variety of birds and seen recently in The Duchess, are just 5 minutes East. About the neighbourhood
Morston is a delightful brick and flint village that happens to boast two fantastic eateries, the Michelin starred Morston Hall and the popular Anchor gastro-pub. It is home to a bustling quay which swells with people at high tide who come to take one of the many boat trips out to Blakeney point to see the seals or with yachtsmen tacking down the creeks in to the harbour in their Norfolk Oysters. A mile east along the coastal path you arrive at the village of Blakeney which boasts a deli, a spar, three pubs and a couple of shops offering local handmade goods.
