Upstairs the mezzanine bedroom and balcony look out over the gardens and creek, and you feel you are in your own private garden retreat.
For your entertainment after a day of exploring the Hills, the cottage has internet access via high speed wifi and also has a smart TV that includes access to Netflix. There is also a portable speaker available for you to connect via Bluetooth if you have music you would like to listen to.
The Cottage is provisioned with all you need for a fully cooked and self-catered breakfast of eggs, bacon, milk, bread, cereals, orange juice, yogurt, and jams. There is also dairy free, gluten free, and vegetarian options available if you advise before arrival. Welcoming treats are also included.
During your stay self-catering is a great option as the Cottage has a fully equipped kitchen and dining area. Bring your own provisions, and if you need to stock up, then there are some wonderful shops in the area selling local specialties, and you can also stock up at the excellent local supermarket that's just 2 minutes away (by foot!). Also, if you prefer to dine in and relax at the same time, then there is a great variety of cafes, restaurants, and takeaways in Aldgate Village that are all within easy walking distance.
There is a large deck perfect for to enjoy enjoy the birds, and visiting ducks in the creek - and also koalas that enjoy the gum trees in the garden - and have been known to walk across the deck right in front of the French doors!!
Check in is at 4pm, with check out a leisurely 12 midday, giving you time to relax and enjoy the morning.

Perfect place for an Adelaide Hills getaway
Upon booking here, there wasnt too much in the way of reviews on Aldgate Creek Cottages, but the pictures and the reviews I did find seemed to me to be impressive. I thought to myself "why hadn't I stumbled across this place before?"
After booking I got a lovely personalised email from the host (whom is an absolute gentleman Terry) telling my specifics about the place etc. This was next level customer service in my eyes. Impressive.
Upon arrival you are greeted by the hosts and taken through their stunningly tranquil garden to this beautiful cottage near a running creek. Inside the cottage it is very cosy, charming and modern yet traditional. Terry was kind of enough to provide us with a bottle of wine (my wifes favourite drop)
The garden has a couple of bridges that lead onto the main road in Aldgate, so going to dinner. You really do not need the car.
Inside the cottage, there is an open fire, some comfy chairs/sofa and a TV with netflix. Wifi is fantastic here too.
The bed is very comfortable and the inside of the cottage heats up easily. So no need to worry about being cold in winter. Breakfast provisions provided and again lovely. We were also treated to a small local produce platter that was very impressive.
This review may seem all of the place. That is because there is just so many good things to say about this place. I absolutely loved it and it will be one of those places that will be forever etched in my memory. Hotels, B&B's or any other type of accommodation could learn a lot from these hosts. Just subtle little extra efforts that make your stay feel so much more special go a long way.
Definitely will be back. Brilliant. Cannot fault

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a wonderful and detailed review. Having taken ownership and re-opened the Cottage late last year we are obviously keen to have a few more reviews online for people to get a sense of what the the experience is like (particularly when they read like yours of course....)!
It was lovely to meet you both and help make your anniversary the special occasion that you were looking for. Staying in the centre of Aldgate certainly makes for easy access to so many things, yet at the same time it does feel so private.
We certainly look forward to helping make your next stay just as enjoyable.

Excellent stay and great hosts
Fantastic stay at Aldgate Creek B and B . Terry and Fiona were wonderful hosts and treated us very well for the whole week indeed they treated us more like family than guests,! Very comfortable accommodation and lovely bathroom with spa bath. The welcome pack of food and treats was unexpected but thoroughly welcome
If coming to the adelaide hills I would very much recommend this B and B

An enchatining getaway
We had a wonderful family stay it was so comfortable and cosy we just did not want to leave. The fantasy garden and creek was just so relaxing. We would love to stay again.
It was great to visit Hahndorf for the day and view the Mt Lofty Gardens.

A PERFECT COTTAGE IN A GREAT LOCATION
the cottage is perfect for two people, very private and so central for touring the Adelaide hills and all it's scenery and history. situated close to shops, cafe's, restaurants, hotel. the cottage is two storey, mezzanine floor, large bedroom with balcony, and downstairs living/dining area and bathroom with spa. Outside balcony and lovely gardens with creek and large trees. Very romantic getaway for that special occasion
