Great little base to explore the Daintree!

Loved the architecture, the gardens and the apparent secludedness. Enjoyed the knowledge of the solar power used through the house. Relaxed in the hammock and on the large bean bags. Had great barbies devoured on the large dining table on the verandah.
All in all, a great place to stay if you plan on exploring the Daintree.

Management response:

Thanks for the review and staying with us come again anytime we’ll give you an extra night on us. Chrissie & Nathan

Reviewed 21 June 2017 for a stay in June 2017

The rainforest sights and sounds pour into the rooms of this lovely open eco-friendly house, or experience them relaxing on the huge deck. Well set up, this house also offered some extras in the kitchen (milk, tea, coffee, etc) which added to the friendly feel. Two double (and two single beds) made this a great stay for two couples. An excellent list of attractions and recommendations was provided by the owner. Walking distance to Myall beach and local attractions such as Ocean Safari (snorkelling) and a great restaurant, Whet café and restaurant. Be back for longer next time!

Management response:

Thanks for staying with us and your lovely reviews . Come again we will give you a free night on us 😀

How to get there
Airport: Cairns Interational : 255.0 km
Cape Tribulation is 155 kilometres and about a 2 hours and 15 mins drive north from Cairns international airport. Car hire is available at the Cairns airport. Then head north following the well-signed scenic road with possible stops in Port Douglas and Mossman. To enter the Daintree there is a car ferry, the cost is AUD 22 return for visitors the ferry crossing is opened from 6am to 12 Midnight it takes about 10 minutes to cross - EFTPOS is available. You will need cash after 5pm.
We recommend a stop for supplies at Smithfield shopping centre just 15 minutes north of the airport, although there is a great local IGA in Cape Tribulation. Mossman is the last town before the ferry crossing into the Daintree, there is a Woolworths and bottle
