A beautiful detached bungalow set in mature, private gardens in the heart of Derbyshire with easy access to the Peak District and its many attractions as well as local market towns and vibrant Midlands cities. It is spacious and sleeps six in three bedrooms. There is a family bathroom with shower and the master bedroom, which has a king-size bed, has its own en-suite shower-room. We provide bed linen, one bath-towel for each guest, hand-towels in the bathrooms and a hand-towel and tea-towels in the kitchen. The all-electric kitchen is well-equipped and includes a halogen hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine/tumble dryer, fridge and freezer. Gorsey Close is self-contained within a large, mature garden but the owners live next door and are usually on hand to answer questions and deal with any problems.
We will send you directions and information about the keys about a week before your stay, then we like to let you arrive and settle in before popping round to welcome you and make sure that everything is to your satisfaction.
We provide comprehensive information about the house in our Information File, and to help you get the most out of your stay, there is also a box of 'Things to Do' and some suggestions for walks in the surrounding area. However, if there is anything you need to know, you have only to ask.

What a wonderful, well appointed, spotlessly clean cottage. It has everything you would need for the perfect holiday, from board games to pen and paper, DVDs to books. The snooker room was enormous, yet quick to heat. The children loved it! Thoughtful touches like a box of chocolates on arrival, and enough loo roll for the 6 days! The rooms...

Location was excellent, central to all the Derbyshire countryside and attractions and shopping outlets. Property was second to none and my New Zealand visitors were over the moon with the facilities and most impressed with the owners who were always on hand for advice and information whilst respecting their privacy. I could't have booked a better venue for their stay....

About the neighbourhood
Belper is an vibrant market town with a history which goes back to the Norman conquest and includes coal-mining and nail-making. It was, however, the invention of water-powered machinery to drive the machinery of the textile industry which saw the town take off in the 18th Century and established it as one of the first mill towns in the world. This history is now recognised by Belper's position within the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage site and demonstrated at the museum housed within Jedediah Strutt's North Mill. The town has moved on since its days at the heart of the industrial revolution and is now well-established as a local retail and services centre. Getting around
From Gorsey Close, it is a 2 minute walk to the bus stop for the local 113 bus service. The 113 passes through Belper Lane End five times a day (Monday to Saturday) on its way between Belper and Ashbourne. There is a regular train service passing north and south along the Derwent valley between Matlock and Derby which stops at Belper railway station and it is also possible to catch a direct train from Belper to London St Pancras International. Buses to many local towns and village also pass through Belper, while the Transpeak goes to Buxton and then on to Manchester.

The property is easy to reach by car from the A6, which runs through the town of Belper and has excellent links to the national road network via the A38, A50 and A515 and the M1, M6 and M42 motorways.
If you are travelling by public transport, Derby is at the centre of the rail network and there are regular commuter trains bringing you directly from Derby to Belper in about 10 minutes. Derby is also served by national coach operators and there are buses to Belper via the A6 every 15 minutes. The Transpeak service links Belper directly to Manchester.
From abroad, the nearest airport is East Midlands (39km), but it is also a quick and straight-forward journey from Manchester (76km) and Birmingham (80km).
