We include a welcome pack for all our guests - everyone needs to be able to have a cup of tea and a treat after a long drive!

Cleaning, linen - bath mats, hand and bath towels and tea towels, heat, light and unlimited hot water are included in the rental. All essential items such as toilet roll, dishwasher tablets, cleaning items and essential store cupboard ingredients (sugar, condiments etc) are also provided.

The only extra charge is for dogs £15 and fuel for the fire, which you can purchase locally.

Payment is preferred by cheque or internet bank transfer although paypal payments are accepted subject to a 4 %charge.

A deposit of 50% (10% non refundable) confirms your booking with the balance payable 4 weeks before arrival. A refundable good housekeeping deposit of £250 is required with final payment - this will be returned on day of departure or within 7 days (subject to checks). The South Lakes and South East Cumbria have the best of both worlds – quiet, beautiful open countryside yet within easy reach of the Lake District’s ‘Hot Spots’.

Family days out include the South Lakes Animal Park at nearby Dalton, where you can see Amur and Sumatran Tigers, Muncaster Castle with its owl sanctuary and adventure playground, either the Eskdale miniature railway or Haverthwaite Steam Trains, The Lakes Aquarium, boat trips on Windermere or Coniston Water, Furness Abbey, The Beatrix Potter Gallery, the award winning gardens of Holker Hall or Grizedale Forest with it's sculpture trails, way marked mountain bike tracks and high wire rope course provided by Go Ape - the list of attractions within the area is endless.

Getting around
The Lakes is notoriously bad for public transport. A car is recommended. That said you an make a car free journey to Bowness using foot to the Haverthwaite Steam train which links with the Lake cruises. Or you can get the bus to Kendal from the stop just outside Jazzberry

Ulverston, Cark in Cartmel or Grange over Sands have a train station and are a 15 min taxi ride to Jazzberry Cottage (taxis must be pre-booked)
All major car hire is available in Barrow in Furness which is on the train line and 25 mins from Jazzberry Cottage

Situated only 20 mins from Junction 36 off M6. Simply follow brown tourist signs for the Lakeland and Haverthwaite Railway.
