Near base of Owls Head (Vale Perkins), one side of cottage is road level but the back of the cottage is 4 stories above lake which gives the magnificent vista views from the city of Magog on one end to Newport, VT on the other. With stairs access to water, the road is a cul de sac so there is no thru-traffic Besides all water activities, there is plenty of others: fishing, hiking trails, cycling, walking, shopping, etc. We are very close to the US border, about a 15 minute drive or 5 minutes by boat. House has full facilities and full deck 3/4 of the way around Nice bubbling waterfall in front yard. Spectacular views from inside and outside house of Orford, Jay Peak, Vermont 4-6 person outdoor Hot Tub Perfect for one or two couples or families. (Note: This is not recommended for very small children due to the stairs going down to the lake) 3 bedrooms (1 queen and 1 fullsize bed in non-enclosed loft in main house plus one large guest room with 3 beds Q+2s). Sitting area, dining room, kitchen prep area, bathroom. Lakeside access to rear deck overlooking water with outdoor dining table and collapsible 12 foot umbrella for rain. Nice peaceful setting and mosquito free (yes, this area of the Townships does not get mosquitos) - you can eat outside at night without swatting. 1 hr 20 min from Montreal. 1h 45 min from Hudson via highway 30 Main House has 2 bedrooms (loft) queen bed and full size plus 1 pullout couch and a single couch Guest room with its own entrance - 1 queen & 2 singles Full Dock with boat mooring plus kayak/canoe ramp Paddleboat, Canoe, Kayak included at dock 1 Propane BBQ plus 1 large Charcoal BBQ Fire pit Inside dining room seats 6 Outdoor dining from 4 to 8 Ample Parking for 4 large cars/SUVs Full bathroom with bath, shower Sirius/XM Satellite radio included High speed WIFI throughout property Ideal if you have or want to bring your own water equipment (kayak or canoe or moor your motorboat off the dock. This property is NOT recommended for small children. Due to its vista view and height above the lake and the number of stairs down to the dock, the place was designed and built for people over 4 foot high. In addition, the spa hot tub has only a cover and clips protecting the water from anyone falling in. As much as I love children to be able to enjoy mother nature and participate in a memorable vacation at this lakeside paradise with their family, I would rather forfeit the risks involved.
