What a great house! We had a wonderful time during our 6 days there. Agree the road is a bit scary, especially with snow! But we were there during the off season, so the road was not busy. I would definitely recommend this property. Also the people of Bryson City are extremely nice and welcoming. Loved B-B-Que Wagon and 4 Queens.

This is our second stay at Brooke’s Place, and it was as good as the first! Very clean, great cabin layout, super cute, and the view can’t be beat. We spend a lot of time on that huge deck, just enjoying the scenery. Cooked Thanksgiving dinner with everything we needed because the kitchen is so well stocked, (the grocery store in town is really good, too). Our ONLY complaint, and I love everything else so much I hate to complain about it, is the sofas. None of us like sitting on them because we all think they’re uncomfortable. They’re deep, which makes it hard to stand up (even for tall people), not well cushioned, so they hurt my back. I’m short, so my legs just stick out like Lily Tomlin in the giant rocking chair (if you’re old enough to get that). We mostly sit in the rocking chair or at the table, or outside. At night I watched TV in bed rather than sit on them. Maybe we’re just picky, but we really do love everything else, and plan to keep going back!

This was another wonderful stay as usual, it was beautiful in the mountains this Autumn with leaves and their colors still on the trees, they are usually brown and on the ground this time of year. The weather was pleasant for hiking by day and cool with a light breeze at night.

The property was very clean. Check in was easy. There is a beautiful view out the front. We were very comfortable in this lovely rental. The only thing that bothered us was the drive up to the cabin, but then we are a little nervous about driving in the mountains so that's probably just us. If you don't drive up the mountain you don't get the beautiful view. Would recommend.
