We are dog-friendly! We welcome responsible owners with well-mannered dogs. Maximum of 3 dogs. We do not allow cats or other animals. Note the large yard is secluded from the road and neighbors by trees and shrubs, but it is not fenced in.
Plenty of parking is available, and the u-shape driveway is flat and easily accessible from a main road. There is no garage available for guest use.
Linens are provided, including bed sheets, pillows, quilts, blankets, washcloths, bath towels and kitchen towels, to use during your stay. The following items are minimally supplied (enough to get you started): toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, laundry soap, and bath soap.
We do not supply condiments, coffee, spices other than salt and pepper, hand towels, beach towels, or shampoo.
Cell phone service can be spotty, you can enable wifi-calling on your phones with the wifi at the house. A landline phone is available for domestic calls
A plow service shovels snow (above 5 inches) in winter. Sand and a snow shovel are available on the front deck for guest use. All-wheel drive is highly recommended in the winter in this region.
Wood (for fire pit use only) is available to purchase at the house. Please do not bring your own wood to the region, this is against the law. The house fireplace is decorative only.

USA & Canadian Holidays are subject to a minimum of 3 to a 6-night stay at the Owner's discretion otherwise, there is a 2-night minimum stay. There is a cleaning fee, a Damage Protection Policy fee, and a 5% Essex County bed tax.
The Damage Protection fee covers accidental damage to furniture, appliances, electronic devices, windows, doors, and any home resource up to $1,500. If damages exceed $1,500, guests agree to cover the difference.
House rates may vary depending on the season and significant special events held in the area.

The location of River Ridge Camp - Adirondacks is perfect for couples, families, friends, adventurers, nature lovers, shoppers, foodies, and everyone else! Children will delight in roasting marshmallows around the firepit, making s’mores, and sharing stories from the day in the many gathering areas in the home.
The home is ideally situated just 7 minutes from Whiteface Mountain Ski Area and Lake Everest Beach, about 22 minutes from Main Street in Lake Placid and steps from hiking trails ranging from relaxed walking/beginner trails to hard climbs/expert trails.
There are endless activities in our area year-round, which is why we love our location. Stunning views and watering holes await as hiking and mountain biking trails abound nearby and all over the Adirondack high peaks region.
Whiteface Mountain has the greatest vertical drop east of the Rockies and boasts over 283 acres of skiable terrain, 86 trails, and 11 lifts. It features diverse terrain for beginner skiers and snowboarders, expert glades and slides for the advanced, and loads of trails for everyone in between! The longest run is the 2.1 mile 'Wilmington Trail,' and total skiing/boarding stretches over 22 miles. Whiteface Mountain is truly fun for everyone! In summer, Whiteface offers splendid views, gondola rides, mountain biking, and more. Whiteface is just 6 minutes away and includes a great ski school. Winter Olympic sports are in the fabric of the region, and you can view competitions or trainings year-round at Whiteface, the Lake Placid Olympic Center, the Mt. Hoevenberg Olympic Sports Complex or the Olympic Ski Jumping Complex.
Our town of Wilmington has a picturesque public beach on Lake Everest. Lake Everest Beach in Wilmington, which has a beach for swimming, paddle boarding, and kayaking, and in winter, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and ice skating. There is also a picnic area, pavilion, and playground! For easy scenic hikes in Wilmington, be sure to visit the beautiful Flume and Hardy Rd trails.
We have several restaurants and ice cream spots to recommend in town, all within a few minutes’ drive.
Lake Placid is a charming, all-season resort town with a Main Street, unique, locally-owned shops, loads of dining options, sporting and cultural events, a movie theatre, mini-golf, and a waterfront park with live music featured weekly during summer. The town also has supermarkets and other conveniences. Lake Placid is less than 20 minutes away, and Mirror Lake, has a lovely public beach, and in the winter, fantastic ice skating, dog sledding and the famous toboggan run. Other quaint towns like Keene, Keene Valley, and Jay offer more eateries and farmers’ markets within 20 minutes of the house.
The Ausable River is a premiere trout fishing river; we have several fishing outfitters in town and your own private section of river at hand!
