Perfect for a get away
The apartment was beautiful and clean, very spacious and the kitchen had a good few tool to cook with so we didn’t feel like we had to go out every night, nice and safe complex so there was no worry about things going missing, couldn’t ask more for a winter get away

Total Chill Out
Lovely clean apartment with all that you need. Great communal pool which I had to myself most of the time. Stuart and Lizzie who maintain the apartment are lovely and Trevor next door is really friendly and helpful. They made me feel right at home.
Vila Verde complex has all the amenities needed, supermarket, bank etc. Oh the chocolate croissants at the bakery are delicious!
Would definitely recommend this place if you want to just totally chill out and do nothing. Hoping to go back soon

Disappointing start
Poor start on arrival , No TV , no hairdryer for the wife , NO Towels , no air on. But a tall fan was available, very good location though , pool excellent . The neighbor Trevor was excellent in assisting and advising us.All in all it got better but I missed the telly .

NO TV or Hairdryer or Beach Towels advertised on our site page. We allowed late departure due to your flight.. no additional charge.... feel rating unfair

A nice place but overrated
I stayed there 4 months (01.12.2014-01.04.2015).
Swimming pools : After 3 weeks 1 swimming pool was left.
Well stocked supermarket : overrated
Restaurant : no restaurant during my stay.
WiFi : no WiFi. The english neighbour helped me out with a mobile WiFi
Begin January I asked the owner if it would be possible to place a mosquito netting on the window. He answered that he would see what can be done, but the next morning the boiler went out and had to be replaced. I think that it was already enough and I regret it.
It is a nice place, quiet and peaceful. If I return then only with mosquito netting and a television.

Maybe 4 months was alittle too long for a single person.
I wish to repond on some of your comments (NO TV-WIFI) but this was not advertised/mentioned on our website or detailed instructions. Once you advised that you required WIFI a MIFI unit was arranged/setup for you.
The morning you advised issues with hot water, the boiler was replaced and fitted by lunchtime the SAMEDAY.

ILE DE SAL LA DECEPTION
logement spacieux agréable et bien aménagé et une très belle piscine à disposition. Toutefois celui ci ne possède pas comme il est dit "de congélateur" meme si c'est un détail, quant à la wifi elle est effectivement proposée mais pas gratuitement et fonctionne avec quelques problèmes.
Cela dit quelques autres inconvénients majeurs:
- la plage la plus proche est à environ 17 mn de marche de l'appartement soit plus d'1 km
- pour se rendre à la ville la plus proche pour assurer son ravitaillement (SANTA MARIA), il faut compter à pied 40 mn ou prendre un taxi pas cher ici moins de 3 €, ou les transports collectifs 2€ mais peu nombreux. Toutefois si vous êtes en période estivale vous aurez la chance d'avoir un supermarché à 2 pas de l'appartement.
Les meilleurs plages de sable sans rocher se trouvent dans cette ville avec toutefois quelques inconvénients la propreté qui laisse à désirer. (sacs, bouteilles plastique et autres objets)

A must go
If you are to visit cape verde, then sal island is a must go...If you do choose sal, then look no further than villa verde. Serene, clean and convenient distance from several beaches. Santa maria is the bubbly centre of sal and there are activities for everyone.
If you love fish, then you are in for a treat....if you like cooking your own fish, then even better....pop down early to the beach and get fish fresh from the fishermen....if not, choose from several delightful restaurants and try out the menu.
