One of 4 comfortable B&B rooms in an old farm surrounded by stunning scenery. Close to market villages with all the shops and restaurants you might need, and easy access from main roads and airports, you will feel like you truly got away from it all. With 20 hectares of meadow and forest (with small lake) and many walking trails around us to explore, it's great for nature lovers. But with loads of other activities around (markets, biking, canoeing, castles) there is something to do for everyone.

Of course we are there when you arrive, so that we can answer all your questions. But after that you can just relax in your own private place. We live on the other side of the same building, so we are there if you need anything. In the breakfast room you'll find lots of local tourist information.

About the neighbourhood
The house is in the north of the Dordogne, where it is a bit quieter than in the south, which can get quite hectic in summer. Still there is lots to do for nature lovers, hikers/bikers, horse riders and families with children. Everywhere you look there is a pretty village with castles, rivers to fish or canoe on (or search for gold) and hiking paths through the stunning countryside. Or you can just choose to sit in a town square and watch the world go by with a coffee or a glass of wine. Thiviers (15 minutes drive away) has a great market on Saturdays, 4 supermarkets and all other shops you might need. It is also the capital of foie gras (goose liver). And of course there are the other local delicacies: truffles, walnuts and wine
Getting around
It is recommended that you have a car, there is no public transport up to the house. The nearest trainstation is in Thiviers, 15 minutes away. We can pick you up from there if arranged beforehand. Once you are here, you can also get around by hire bikes which we can arrange for you.

Airport: Limoges Bellegarde: 55.0 km
Railway: Thiviers: 9.0 km
We are very easy to reach by car. You wouldn't know it once you're here, but we are close to a main road (RN21) that goes from Limoges in the north to our capital Perigueux. There is plenty of parking at the house. We are motor-bike friendly, with undercover parking. You can fly to the following airports, depending on the company: Limoges (55minutes drive), Perigueux Bassilac (35 mins), Brive-la-Gaillarde (just over an hour), Bergerac (1hr20), or Bordeaux (2hrs). It is advisable to have a car here, but if you want to take public transport, there is a train station in Thiviers where you can take a taxi to the house, or we can pick you up if so arranged beforehand. We can arrange hire-bikes for you.
