Our courtyard is at the heart of this pretty hamlet.
The large open plan dining and sitting area has three comfortable sofas and a flat screen TV.
The kitchen is compact but well equipped.
Flowers from our garden enhance the view.
High-ceilinged main bedroom has exposed beams.
The main bedroom has a sofa as well as an ensuite shower and toilet.
Second bedroom overlooks the garden. It has a double bed and a single bed on a mezzanine level.
The third bedroom has two single beds and also overlooks the garden.
The main bedroom has an ensuite shower, WC and handbasin.

The bridge and river at St Julien de Lampon, 5 mins drive away.
View over the Dordogne Valley from Domme, 20 mins drive away.
In July and August locals and visitors alike enjoy a weekly marche gourmand at Ch. Fenelon.

The house
La Vieille Grange is on the northern edge of a rural hamlet, with woods to one side and views across the valley below. It began life as a barn, with the oldest parts of the building dating from the 18th century (or earlier), and in its transformation to a house the original stonework and solid local oak beams have been left exposed. It is now a spacious and comfortable family-friendly holiday home. Offering self-catering accommodation for six (and a baby), it is a great place to relax and unwind. The surrounding country lanes are ideal for walking and cycling.

The Dordogne Valley is one of the most spectacular in France. The river rises in the Massif Central and passes through beautiful countryside, the valley sides dotted with imposing chateaux, historic towns and villages towns and a mixture of woodlands, meadows, farmlands and vineyards.

Within short and easy drives from the house are several historic towns, such as Sarlat, a medieval jewel that has been immaculately restored, the former river port of Souillac and the hilltop town of Gourdon.
