Welcome to our NEW and second listing to Overstone Lakes. Again, our aim is simple, to provide quality accommodation at one of the cleanest and peaceful of David Bellamy gold awarded parks, located just a few miles from the M1 in the rural heart of Northamptonshire and is a world away from the stress of daily life set in beautiful woodlands and lakes amid 115 acres of former Manor House grounds that creates a truly relaxing atmosphere that will ease away all your worries. The park offers some lovely facilities from a heated outdoor swimming pool to superb course fishing, all weather bowls, tennis court, nine hole pitch and putt, crazy golf, children's play areas and large playing field, live entertainment at the Lakeside Clubhouse at weekends overlooking the lakes with its own restaurant serving a good variety of home made dishes and at sensible prices. At the top of the park you can find a well stocked shop (not overpriced at all), laundrette, hair salon and a cafeteria serving breakfasts and tasty snacks. Adjacent to this is the Manor House serving food daily. There are plenty of of local village pubs serving food, some of our preferences include The Worlds End at Ecton mile and for something a little different The Aviator at Sywell aerodrome. This is a wonderful art deco style bar and restaurant, formally an officers mess with plenty of memorabilia, a small museum and shows throughout the year, so for any Biggles fans, this is a must! THE ACCOMMODATION: This property is set on a very peaceful part of the park with parking directly outside. It has 2 Bedrooms with the the main bedroom housing a double bed for 2 people, a large dressing table and en suite. The second bedroom has 2 single beds. (For the larger of parties, there is a pull out sofa, sleeping 2 further guests.) Located off of the hallway is the family shower room. We have a fully equipped kitchen area that comprises of a full size hob, oven and grill, microwave, full size refrigerator and freezer with an abundance of utensils for your use. Pots, pans, cutlery, plates, glasses, mugs, ovenware etc etc. A Tassimo coffee machine is also available should you wish to bring cartridges. The lounge houses a 32' TV with freeview and DVD with comfortable seating in a cosy yet modern atmosphere. Outside there are balconies to the front with a large balcony to the side of the property overlooking our cottage style garden area....(absolute bliss on a warm evening with a cold drink and just as welcoming for the early morning person for tea and coffee) of which has a path leading to the rear of the property, where you can find a totally hedged private garden / patio area with further seating and a charcoal BBQ for Dad to impress the family with his culinary skills !! (or burnt offerings) giving Mum that all important quality time that she deserves.... with a glass of vino maybe. Bookings Include: Complimentary Coffee, tea, fresh milk and fruit juices in the fridge upon arrival.Hand and tea towels are also provided. Bed linen supplied with all beds made ready for you upon your arrival. There is also an iron and an ironing board, vacuum cleaner and plenty of cleaning equipment. Electricity is included along with one full bottle of gas per weeks stay (two bottles for two weeks etc) which is ample, even on those cold nights when the central heating may be required. Swimming Pool: This wonderful outdoor and heated swimming pool is open mid May to mid September (weather permitting). There is a toddlers area also, changing rooms, picnic tables on the grass area along with Alfresco style tables and seating on the paved area. The poolside cafeteria serves hot and cold snacks and beverages. For those that may fancy something a little stronger, the clubhouse is located next door to the pool. Please note that passes will be required which are available from the reception and cost £5 per day. Children under 12 do not require passes. For anglers there are two lakes within the complex both fed by stream. These are known as upper and lower lakes. Lower lake is a 3 acre, 32 match peg lake and mainly fished by carp anglers with carp averaging 10 to 20 lb. There are also chub, bream ,roach, perch and pike to be caught. Upper Lake is a larger longer lake with 50 match spaced pegs and has an island at the head of it. This is mainly used by match anglers using pole and feeder tactics with long swims out to the water. Passes are available from reception and please note that fishing passes do include entrance to the swimming pool and clubhouse. These passes are £10 per day or £50 per 7 day week. Then again you could just relax, bask in the surroundings with a wine or Alfresco on the lakeside terrace or on your very own balcony !! ..................More

Lovely caravan perfect for our stay on a well maintained site. Arrival was straight forward and the welcome pack of milk and juice gratefully received. Would certainly be happy to book again should the need arise. Many thanks to the owners.

Everything that you need on your doorstep. Pool, shop, bar and restaurant. The caravan was clean and spacious, and Stuart kindly left everything that we may have needed on arrival. I did mean to replace the sugar, honest Stuart! Thanks for a lovely stay.
