Bi-fold doors open onto the wide sun-deck and private garden
The open plan living room is comfortably furnished, with armchair and large sofa
The spacious south-facing decking is equipped for outdoor dining and lounging in the sun
The deck area is for evening use too, with ample and atmospheric lighting.
In countryside in the heart of East Anglia, close to the attractive town of Bury St Edmunds
The bedroom has ample wardrobe space, a dressing table/desk, small TV/DVD player, and patio doors
Comfort levels are high - all windows and doors are triple glazed, and there is underfloor heating
The Elizabethan Wyken Hall and Vineyards, a short drive or pleasant country walk away.
Our two lodges are situated in our large garden, but within their own private space
Just a short walk away, Sid's Piece is Stanton's local wildlife reserve.
Oak Lodge is one of just two high specification lodges, each with private garden and secure parking.

The fully equipped kitchen will keep most cooks happy, with four hobs, conventional oven and freezer

For when you're eating in, the well-equipped kitchen will keep a creative cook happy, with dining area alongside. It will be no surprise that there's a fridge and a microwave, but there's also a full size freezer for your ice cream and more, plus a conventional oven for your Sunday roast. The stylish furniture has been carefully selected to provide comfort and relaxation, and on sunny days you'll want to roll back the doors and let the outside in. Interaction with guests
Upon arrival, guests can let themselves in, using the key locker code sent to them with the booking confirmation details. Guests can come and go as they please throughout their stay, and may see us when we make our daily check of the hot tub, normally between 6pm & 7pm.

Arrival can be any time after 4pm, departure needs to be before 10am.

Oak Lodge near Stanton in sunny Suffolk was the perfect place to base ourselves for a few days in Suffolk. Spotlessly clean with every modern amenity, it was also private and very quiet. The front garden with large timber deck was also appreciated as a sunny spot for a quiet drink. Handy to the local pub and shop, with plenty...

We went to oak cottage for a five day break. Wow what an amazing home from home. We will be returning in the summer. Everything you need is here. Spotless modern..yet so homely..Thank you

Wow! Oak lodge is breath taking in its own private garden, on arrival a short walk from the car park, beautiful surroundings and peacefully quiet, didn't hear anything from the other lodges even though they were all booked. A lovely welcome note and treats awaited such a lovely personal touch, with a really informative folder of local amenities! I was...

About the neighbourhood
Stanton is ideally situated between the market towns of Bury St. Edmunds and Diss, amongst other attractive Suffolk villages where cottages are often painted and many still are thatched. One of the best served villages locally, Stanton has a village stores, two bakers, an excellent farm shop (with delicatessen), a farmers market, cafe and restaurant (all at Wyken Vineyards), a village pub, a petrol station, hardware shop and post office. The adjoining village of Ixworth has two pubs, both serving food, a library (internet access), a cafe and a village stores, whilst in the other direction, Walsham le Willows boasts Rolfe's the Butcher, 'Suffolks Best Butcher' which also sells groceries, cold meats and cheeses. Getting around
Use of a car is recommended as we are in Suffolk countryside. However, we are close to a bus route and pick-up from our nearest train station (Thurston) can also be arranged. There are several country walks nearby and we also have cycles to borrow upon request.
