Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

FANTASTIC FIND
What a wonderful cottage. Clean, comfortable & full of charm. Coral goes out of her way to make the cottage welcoming, from fresh flowers on the table to a little 'something' in the fridge. All the comforts of home & more, are in this delightful find. Repeat stayer & each time was perfect. Thank you, Coral.

Welcoming cottage in a must visit village
Coral, the owner went out of her way to make my daughter, grandson and myself welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. The cottage is wonderful and the charm of the village is truly reflected in this character- filled cottage. We enjoyed it so much we have booked again in April.

very accommodating and very comfortable
We were a group of people attending a local sporting event with varying numbers staying for each of the fours nights we were in residence. Coral was very accommodating with our requests. The cottage was very clean, warm and comfortable, we could not have asked for more. I will stay again in the future.

Charming Cottage
We had a wonderful stay at Coral's cottage. It was exceptionally clean with a well equipped kitchen. It's only a short leap to Cradle Mountain and Sheffield is a 10 minute drive away for petrol and groceries. Definitely recommend!!

Excellent!
You won't be disappointed with this cottage - it is spotlessly clean and has everything you need. Very comfortable with full facilities and little extras including fresh flowers. Lovely garden. Railton itself is nothing to write home about, sadly, but we stayed here as we couldn't get accommodation in Latrobe, and we're glad we did. The owner, Coral, is very nice and an excellent host - very good communication and very helpful. Railton is close to Sheffield and Latrobe so this cottage is a good stop over for both places.

Map
About the neighbourhood
Railton is a rural hamlet set in the pretty municipality of Kentish, also home to Goliath Cement c 1923. With various shops and activities as well as the Topiary figures, which dominate the gardens of the town, all carefully maintained privately. Railton has the widest main street in Tasmania,a huge turning circle for the Bullock teams, which could be from 3 up to 7 and more pairs, per team. The locals chose to keep it that way, as a reminder of yesteryear, when Bullock Teams were the heavy industries mode of transport, carting/hauling produce to and from the Railway Station, situated close to the Hotel, which would have been a very welcome sight for many, as all the loading and unloading was all done by manual man power.
