The property is a converted Victorian Railway Carriage situated on the edge of the village of Wisbech St Mary, which is about three miles from the market town of Wisbech. The Railway Carriage has been on its present site for many years, recently it has been completely restored to a very high standard. It is situated in its own private garden with ample parking. There is a patio and small wooded area to the side of the garden. The Village has two public houses both which serve food, also a general store / Post Office and fish and chip shop. Wisbech has many fine buildings with its Georgian Crescent and North Brink, it is here that Peckover House ( National Trust ) is situated. There are two market days each week (Thursday and Saturday). Lounge with freeview digital television, unlimited Wi-Fi, dvd player, compact disc player and electric fire. There are also two double bedrooms. Linen for bedrooms, bathroom and Kitchen is provided. The Carriage has oil fired central heating. Heating and electricity are included in the tariff. The property is open all year and well behaved pets are welcome. Wisbech is an ideal base for touring the area with many places of interest, Kings Lynn, Ely, Cambridge, The North Norfolk Coast and Sandringham House with its fine Country Park are all within easy reach. Short breaks available from October 31st - March 31st excluding Christmas and New Year. More

Absolutely fantastic place to stay could not fault in anyway. The carriage has everything you could possibly need and is spotlessly clean.Michael is very helpful and accommodating.Would highly recommend.really enjoyed staying here

We initially booked for a week and then extended our stay for an extra couple of nights. Michael was really helpful and accommodating with everything. A very quirky place to stay. It had everything you needed including a washing machine and wi-fi. Plenty of hot...More

So lovely and clean. Ideal getaway especially for a railway enthusiast. Has everything you could possibly need. Michael very helpful. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for complete relaxation.

About the neighbourhood
The village is three miles from Wisbech which is a Fenland Market Town with fine Georgian architecture, the Brinks and the Crescent display the Town's wealth of heritage. Peckover House and gardens ( National Trust ) Octavia Hill museum and Elgoods brewery and gardens which are open to the public. Wisbech is an ideal base for touring the area with many places of interest close by. Peterborough with it's fine Cathedral and Nene Valley Steam Railway, King's Lynn, Ely one of the countries smallest cities with it's magnificent Cathedral, Cambridge with it's historical colleges, botanical gardens and punting on the river, Stamford with it's 17th and 18th century stone and older timber framed buildings along with five medieval parish churches.
Getting around
March is the nearest Railway Station, where you can travel to Norwich, Cambridge, Ely, Peterborough and London. The nearest bus stop to Wisbech is close by and from there you can travel to King's Lynn, Hunstanton, Peterborough, Norwich and Cambridge.
