This converted cow barn is part of a smallholding which used to be a thriving flour mill. It is a gorgeous place for a holiday. It is 10 miles from Narberth and 12 miles from Cardigan tucked away in its own little world close to the Preselli mountains. You will find everything you need here to kick back and relax and explore magical Pembrokeshire. We are in a 16 acre smallholding and there are rivers, streams and waterfalls all around. This whole place is steeped in history both ancient and recent, they say it has been in use since megalithic times as a sanctuary for healing, being the home of the famous bluestones which were transported (somehow!!) to Stonehenge. The mill has not been in use for 50 years but the old cast iron wheel still stands and the mill race flows behind the cottage. ...This converted cow barn is part of a smallholding which used to be a thriving flour mill. The mill has not been in use for 50 years but the old cast iron wheel still stands and the mill race flows behind the cottage. You will always be able to hear the faint murmur of flowing water as well as plenty of birdsong, the odd sheep bleating and no traffic except for a tractor making hay in the fields during the summer. During the summer holidays the cottage is only available to rent for a minimum of 7 days except in special circumstances. It is worth checking in with us. You will be able to light a fire outside and sit under the starscapes, hang out on the river bank and get natural, wander amongst the trees and hills and let the rest of the world disappear. 3 bedrooms, one double en-suite, one twin, one small twin with 2ft 6 beds, put together and designed by artists and craftspeople. Well-equipped country kitchen with wood and coal fired Rayburn for central heating. The comfy living room has a wood burner and a TV and DVD player. We also have wireless and a land-line for local and incoming calls. Due to its sheltered location we only have the odd patches of mobile reception but half a mile down the lane there is full reception. We are two miles down the lane from the nearest convenience store which you could walk or cycle to if you are coming on public transport. This is a wonderful area for cycling. The nearest small town is Crymych 3 miles away with a sport centre, swimming pool and local shops. Nearest station Clunderwen 6 miles. We can arrange to pick you up if you let us know in advance. Our business is designed to support the local community as well as provide holidays so we are happy to link to local services such as organic veg boxes, massage, outdoor pursuits, bush-craft and hand-made goods.. We also offer compassionate breaks when we are not booked to those who are unable to afford a holiday but perhaps need one most after bereavement, illness, long periods of stress etc. It is a very nourishing environment here.and we love having visitors who appreciate nature and its kinfolk.More

How to get there
We are located between Narberth and Cardigan 10/12 miles from each at the foot of the Preseli Hills, just outside the village of Mynachlogddu..We have a good parking area but please let me know if you intend to bring more than one car. I will send you detailed directions before you arrive but feel free to ask me any other questions. The nearest rail station is Clunderwen 6 miles away. We can arrange to pick you up if you choose to arrive this way. Cyclists are most welcome and the area is a wonderful location for exploring by bicycle.
