Hause Hall farm & its adjoining Cruik Barn offer luxury accommodation in the Lake District National Park. It is located mid way up Hallin Fell at the South end of Lake Ullswater in Martindale. It has spectacular views over the fells and up into the hidden valleys of this secluded area in the Lake District. Famous local author and fell walker, A W Wainwright described the Ullswater lakeside walk which starts just at the base of Hallin Fell as “the most beautiful and rewarding in Lakeland.”

About the neighbourhood
Hause Hall Farm is located in the Lake District in the hamlet of Martindale. There are a number of public footpaths starting right from the front door of the farm including a fabulous loop over Beda Fell encompassing great views down the length of Ullswater Lake. The c. 20 acre grounds of Hause Hall farm encircle this Grade II listed converted sandstone farmhouse and barns.
Getting around
Hause Hall Farm is located a short drive from Penrith train station which is on the West Coast Main Line, the railway linking London to Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Edinburgh & Glasgow. The nearby villages offer wonderful walks and cycle rides with beautiful scenery. Ullswater ‘Steamers’ is an award winning environmentally accredited Lake District attraction celebrating over 150 years of operating cruises on England’s most beautiful lake. Operating one of the largest heritage vessel fleets in the world, offering visitors an experience they will never forget for 363 days a year. Cruises connect to some of the most famous and iconic walking routes in the National Park, with views of Wordsworth's Daffodils on the west shore in Spring.

Exit towards Shap/A6

Turn onto B6261 sign posted Kendal/Shap A6

At the T Junction turn right onto A6

Continue on the A6 until you reach Eamont Bridge

At the roundabout, take the 1st Exit onto B5320

Continue on B5320, just before you reach Pooley Bridge bear left at the signpost for Howtown

Continue on this road past The Sharrow Bay Hotel on the right

Continue past The Howtown Hotel on the left

At this point the road starts to climb the fell, when you reach the summit

St Peter's Church, Martindale is on the left and just after you start to descend Hause Hall is situated on the right behind the gated drive
