Felton Villa is a Georgian property with a boutique style attached self-catering Coach House. Guests have their own separate entrance and private garden. Conveniently close to Bristol airport and an easy drive to Bristol, Bath, Wells, Cheddar and the Coast, there is a range of lovely country gourmet pubs in the region. The space is designed for 2 adults (with (or without) a small family). But up to 6 adults can stay with 2 pairs sharing a double and 2 folding beds downstairs (but it's cosy!). It'd fine for a night before an early flight. • If 6 adults stay in the property, 2 will need to share the the kingsize, the double bed and 2 in folding beds downstairs but this will be cosy as the space was not designed for this many people. • The Coach House has its own separate front door, private garden and is self-check-in using a key box next to the front door. • Items for tea and coffee making (including milk) are freely provided, and the apples are complimentary • The garden has a BBQ (with charcoal provided for a fee). • Whilst staying at the house, parking is “on street” at the side of the property (however, this space is not for 'airport parking') • Airport parking details can be provided (the next-door neighbour runs an airport parking business) (more details upon request) • The Smart TV has free access to Netflix, etc. • A travel cot (with bedding), baby monitors, sink steps and a high chair is available upon request as are all the other family amenities described on this site • The Middle/ Landing bedroom is a walk through room from the Master to the bathroom. A screen is used for added privacy • Walking maps for the surrounding countryside and into the Mendips are provided. • WiFi is free. • There is a post office 5 min drive with all the main newspapers and a small village shop • The Prince of Waterloo pub is a 5 min drive and serves lunch and dinner • A 10 min drive into the surrounding Chew Valley villages have a variety country pubs • Local takeouts include Indian (Chew Stoke), Chinese (Winford), Fish and Chips (Backwell). The Salt and Malt looking over the Lake is lovely, and the Pony and Trap in Chew Magna also serves excellent food. • Chew Valley lake offers a range of activities • Pets are welcome (but please let me know in advance so I can allow extra time for cleaning|) • A mobile massage and Reiki therapist lives in the village and accepts bookings (a massage bed can be provided free of charge). • The village of Felton has both boarding kennels and a cattery next door for holidaymakers • There is a large children's outdoor playpark in the village 5-10 min walk from the property • A washer- dryer can be used for free • Smokers are welcome but please smoke outside, and if there's a lot of you please quieten down by 10 am as it is a residential neighbourhood Please note: Bedroom 2 is a Middle/ Landing walk-through bedroom. About the neighbourhood
THE NEIGHBOURHOOD • Felton is a small village on the north of the Mendip Hills. Whilst the village does not lie directly under the flight path, the airport is very close by so you can see the planes coming and going. As a result there is quick access to the main road and excellent public transport links. • The property has the benefit of lying in 5 acres of farmland in a small country village yet has fast and direct access to the city of Bristol and the airport giving it the best of both worlds. • There is a post office 5 min drive with all the main newspapers and a small village shop • The George and Dragon pub and tearooms is a 5 min walk and serves breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner • The Prince of Waterloo pub is 5 min
Getting around
• Bristol airport is 0.6 miles from Felton • The airport is served by an excellent bus service and there are always taxis and Ubers around hoping to collect airport passengers • The main road into Bristol northwards is the A38 which is 0.5 miles from the property. • Heading southwards takes you to Cheddar and the North Somerset Coast • Walking, mountain biking and horse trekking are all popular within the nearby vicinity • A short drive South into the Mendips opens up a range of outdoor activities such as climbing, pot holing, caving, SCUBA diving, paragliding and dry slope skiing • 15 min drive North up the A38 takes you to Bristol's Harbourside • 15 min drive Northeast towards Chew Valley Lake
