On the tiny Scottish island of Cumbrae, we offer a spacious one bedroomed ,ground floor flat with patio area right outside the door. The flat is a stone's throw from the sea,and takes it name as a nod to the locally known beach of 'Cosy Corner' which is less than five minutes walk from the apartment- literally at the bottom of your street. It's close to the golf course, shops and all the restaurants that the small town of Millport has to offer. With only one neighbour, living in the flat above you, this flat is a quiet haven for a peaceful break.

However, due to it's location close to the old Harbour, it's only a five minute walk to the shops and cafes.
We offer TV, free internet access, and plenty of toys, games and books to read, there's plenty to do if the weather is damp.
Newly installed over the winter of 2016, our lovely cosy woodburner will keep you warm if you come for an early Spring, or Autumn /winter break. A basket of logs and some kindling is supplied free of charge, and further supplies can be bought directly from us during your stay.
The flat comprises of a large living room, with two bed settees, one small double, one single. A table to seat four is placed in an alcove. The window looks out onto a charming sheltered patio area,( please note , other buildings can also be seen, I'm afraid we don't benefit from a sea view!) with a small table and chairs- perfect for a coffee and a look at the paper!
The bedroom has a huge bespoke bed , and enough space for your own travel cot if required. The smallest of the couches, known as the cube, can also be moved into this room, if required for an older child. Just tell me when you book, and I'll move it!
A separate newly fitted kitchen houses a hob and oven, fridge, coffee maker, and microwave.
Bed linen for the double bed is included in your price, please ask if you require linen for any of the settees- additional cost of £10.
The flat sleeps 4 people, and is in a quiet side street near to the old harbour. The island has a golf course, a bowling green ,plenty of small shops and cafes, and is a short ferry crossing from Largs. The island has superb walking, bird watching, and watersports potential.
Any deficiencies in the flat must be reported immediately to the owner.We must be allowed access ( where required ) to rectify any problems, and this includes appliances which do not seem to be working, ,or any other issues with the flat's condition.
Noise must be kept to a minimum after 10pm, and before 7am please, particularly when sitting outside the flat, but also indoors . Please keep TV ,music etc to an acceptable level. Dog mess must be picked up from the shared garden immediately.
lovely little apartment for a weekend away. The bed is so comfortable. The newly refurbished bathroom is really nice especially the big walk in shower. we had a lovely stay and would definitely stay again.

Cute & comfortable flat, lovely sunny room & garden, & only a minute down to the town. A great base for exploring Millport. Jen was helpful & accommodating of all my requests, & comnunication was easy. Would love to stay again!

The tiny Isle of Cumbrae is often known by the name of it's only town, Millport. It's easily reached by rail from Glasgow, taking you to Largs, where you can catch the ferry over to the island. A haven for bird watchers, fishing and with it's own golf course, the island also has cafes, bars and shops. With it's beautiful beaches and stunning scenery, it's been a popular holiday resort since Victorian times, which is visible in it's charming promenade frontage.
Once in the town, you can walk ,or hire a bike to cycle everywhere- the road around the island is pretty flat and attracts cyclists of all age and ability.
All the shops and cafes are in easy walking distance of the apartment.
