Palos Verdes Peninsula is a hidden rural, coastal gem of Los Angeles located near South Bay, near Redondo Beach and Manhattan Beach, and has some of best ocean views anywhere in the area.
Places to stop: Pt Vicente, Wayfarers Chapel (stone, glass, wood, ocean views); Abalone Cove ($ to park for trails, beach, tide pools, and a sea cave); Bliuff Cove hike in the Malaga Cove section of Palos Verdes Estates (a wildly popular surfing spot);Terranea Resort (six restaurants, beach, sea cave, views, trails); Trump National Golf Club (a public golf club in Rancho Palos Verdes, California with a 7,242-yard course).
This is one of the few stretches of wild coastline in LA County, with hiking trails and a huge oceanfront resort.
