About the neighbourhood
In Sarhos are the temples of the Holy Cross and the Virgin Mary. On 14 September each year the village celebrates.

In 1583 the Sarchos refers to Kastrofylakas called Sargho with 82 inhabitants (Kastrofylakas, K. 102). In the village there lived Turks.

During the War of 1866 in Sarchos cave or Chonos, the old underground river bed, they found shelter the women of the village and managed to save. At the entrance of the cave guard was Sarchianos Zacharias Filippakis, with force of 50 men. The latter has shown great bravery and summer of 1866 successfully faced the Turkish attacks, to the extent that the Turks were forced to capitulate and solve the siege.
