You enter the house through the original oak studded front door which leads to the Great Hall with a beautiful 17th Century oak inlaid fireplace. This is an incredibly atmospheric room especially when lit by candle light in the evening. Our main dining table is here which seats 16 and can be extended if required. There are 3 more reception rooms including the Drawing Room with an enormous 15th Century open fireplace, the panelled Queen Anne Sitting Room with French windows leading to the croquet lawn and a large Garden Room overlooking the formal gardens with French windows leading to the terrace. You will have sole use of The Old Hall and it’s grounds.

The minimum weekend stay from March to October is strictly 3 nights with additional nights at a reduced nightly rate. From November to February (excluding school holidays) we are happy to offer 2 night stays for £1,900, 3 for £2,100 plus any Holiday Letting / Trip Advisor fees

Two well behaved dogs are welcome at an additional charge of £25 per dog per stay - but we need to know in advance please.

A non-refundable deposit is made of 40% is made at the time of booking please, the balance is due 8 weeks before your stay. Payment can be made by BACs or cheque. We require a refundable good housekeeping / damage deposit of £1,000 please.

You may pay with a debit or credit card (via Holiday Lettings).

In July / August arrivals are either Friday or Monday and for the rest of the year you can arrive on any day except Saturday or Sunday.

Saxlingham Nethergate is a pretty Norfolk village with a village green and a beautiful church with rare 13th and 15th century stained glass windows. We are set on the edge of the village with extensive countryside walks and cycling right from the door.

We are 2 hours from London by car or train (London Liverpool St to Norwich or Diss) and are located 15 minutes from the train station. Norwich airport is 30 minutes away and has regular daily flight to Schiphol
