About the neighbourhood
You will need a golf cart to get around and enjoy the Island. Across the street from our town home is Resorts World Casino, there is a casual restaurant in the casino for hamburgers, salads, etc. The Hilton Hotel has a fine Italian and Bahamian fusion restaurant and very fine award wining Japanese restaurant that we love, and is not expensive. Across from our house to the left is the Mega Pool and famous Naked Taco Restaurant from South Beach, FL. Also you must get your golf cart and go down town to the arts and craft center for some original Bahamian souvenirs.
Getting around
Get your golf cart and go for lunch to Stuart's Conch Shack and have a conch salad and a cold Kalik, and they also have the most delicious and potent Bimini Knockout! Try it! You can not miss eating at Edith Pizzeria and have a pizza with lobster, best conch fritters and absolutely best grouper fingers. Go to Charlie's Bread and buy Coconut Bahamian bread to die for. Also down town is Taste of Heaven an excellent bakery with delicious Bahamian bread, cookies, pastries and Bahamian breakfast and lunch.

Airport: South Bimini Airport: 2.0 km
Ferry: Port of Miami: 0.5 km
Best way is with your own boat only 1.5 to 2 hours away from Bimini. FRS Caribbean Ferry is large, very comfortable, inexpensive and only 2 hours from Miami to Bimini. My personal favorite is the seaplane which leaves from Watson Island in Miami and lands right at the resort, and immigration is done in 15 minutes. Also there are plane charters from Opa Locka and Tamiami Executive Airports. Silver Airlines also flies from Ft. Lauderdale.
