Interaction with guests
We’re Barry (from Ireland) and Pablo (from California), and we live next door. We’re especially happy to host people with interests in art history, history, culture, decorative arts and so on. One of is is a medievalist, journalist and translator, the other an interior decorator and garden designer. Pablo’s responsible for the ongoing restoration of the house and for creating the lush garden, which, perhaps surprisingly, is a mere six years old. We are very knowledgeable about Mallorca.

About the neighbourhood
Soller is a charming, orange-growing town on Mallorca’s rocky northwestern coast, a bustling place of handsome farmsteads and fine Art Nouveau homes, gushing streams, swaying palms, dry stone walls, and cobbled streets. There’s an eye-catching Nouveau-fronted church standing alongside the self-important bank, both lording it over the town’s buzzing square, which is neatly bisected by a tram trundling its way down to the port. The backdrop is magnificent, with clouds often billowing down the slopes of the Puig Major mountain and its sister peaks.
Getting around
We are right in the centre of Soller. You can walk to the train station and main square in less than a minute. Taxi rank is even closer. You can buy a 10-journey tram ticket for 20 euros that will get you back and forth to the Port. Bus stop for buses to Palma and Deia is a 10 minute walk.
