The ground floor also offers a small library in the living room from which you may select one of many novels and sink into the soft leather sofas. The spiral staircase leads up to the open concept main floor lounge offering unlimited views of the valley below as well as the surrounding mountains on all sides. About the neighbourhood
The Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons National Park are hidden gems which those in the know keep to themselves. Canals, rivers, lakes and mountains are all around yet the amenities and cosmopolitan trappings of major towns and cities (Cardiff, Hereford, Hay-on-Wye, Bristol, and Bath) are an hour away. A nearby mountain railway, boating lake, climbing centre and zip wire course, several horse riding stables, numerous mountain biking trails, golf, tennis, hang gliding/paragliding, fishing, caving and some of the best walking for all abilities ensures everyone can find something they enjoy or something new to try. The area is a bird-watchers haven, both buzzards and red kites are often seen in and around the village. The area's other major draw, after the natural elements are its many...
Getting around
It is a 10 minute walk into Crickhowell where you will find local shops and places to eat eat and drink. The Dragon hotel serves some lovely meals as does the Bear. We have two amazing butchers, a bakery, book store, numerous independent coffee houses along with Webbs ( everything from furniture to your next dishwasher not forgetting everything for your garden) and Nicholls clothes and endless holiday gifts.
