Gwastad Agnes was providing holiday accommodation as long ago as 1935. In those days there was no plumbed in water supply, waste or even mains electricity. However today, our new barn conversion Called Agnes Fach provides two bedrooms with en suite showers and under floor heating throughout.

The panoramic lounge/diner window looks out on one of Wales’s finest mountains, Cader Idris.

We are sure that this holiday home will provide you with a superb break whatever time of year you arrive.

Lovely cottage that is well equipped and comfortable. However it's greatest asset is the location with stunning views of the countryside and the sea is visible, although distant. The traditional seaside town of Barmouth can be reached by a 25 minute walk by footpaths across...More

Agnes Fach is part of a small, privately owned complex of holiday accommodation called ‘Bunkorama’. It is next to a neat camping field, with a bunk house a little further away. What they all share is the most spectacular panoramic view down to the sandy...More

About the neighbourhood
Agnes Fach is in a stunning location with easy access to some of the best mountain and coastal walking that Snowdonia has to offer. You can walk and mountain bike right from the door. The Mawddach Estuary is not only the most beautiful Estuary in Europe but a great location for water sports such as kayaking, paddle boarding and yachting. We have Blue Flag beaches on our door step and stretching for miles North From Barmouth. The Cambrian Coast and Rhinog Mountains are an ancient landscape with neolithic monuments, Medieval Castles and fantastic leisure attractions and more narrow gauge steam railways than you could shake a stick at. In Barmouth itself enjoy the bucket and spade fun as well as great places to eat and drink.
Getting around
For many of our guests yo can simply leave the car in the car park and explore on foot or bike, find a pub at the end of your trek then get the train back to Barmouth. Barmouth is well served by busses and trains taking you North or South along the coast or inland to Dolgellau and Bala lake. Best of all...until at least May 2018 the T3 bus is completely free at weekends. We can help you out with journey planning and details of time tables and routes. There are grat car trips too and maybe combine a car tour, a walk along a beautiful gorge and finish of with a steam train ride back to the car. Its waiting for you now.
